As you can see from the map tropical rainforests are located on the continents of Oceania, Asia, Africa, North and South America. Tropical Rainforests only occur in certain geographical conditions. Tropical Rainforests are always close to the equator because it is hotter there. When the soil is fertile, the temperature is hot, and it rains a lot there will probably be a rain forest. Tropical Rain Forests can occur inland or on the coast, it doesn't affect them. The rainforests appear in less developed areas, this is probably because it is harder to develop on terrain which was formerly a tropical rain forest. Tropical Rain forests also need to be in areas where it rains a lot so the proper trees can grow. Rain forests need to be in un mountainous areas or else a mountainous biome could emerge.
Why aren't there any Tropical Rain Forests in the U.S?
